Representative Kiley Votes for the Servicemember Quality of Life and National Defense Authorization Act of FY25
WASHINGTON – Today Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) voted for H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025. He released the following statement after today’s vote:
“The NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) is a win for America and our service members. This legislation strengthens our defense, deters adversaries and improves our military readiness. This year’s bill focuses resources on improving the lives of our servicemembers, and their families, who sacrifice so much to protect our nation, including a 19.5% pay raise for junior enlisted servicemembers and supports a 4.5% pay raise for all other servicemembers,” said Rep. Kiley. “It takes important steps to address the security threats America faces from adversaries including China, Iran, and foreign terrorist organizations. Critically, it supports the continued modernization of our nuclear deterrence, invests in our naval fleet, boosts innovation, and revitalizes our defense industrial base. It fully funds our national defense and military while cutting unnecessary costs and improving efficiency. I pledged my support for the military and our defense in this bill and I urge the Senate to pass it with swift bipartisan support.”
