Representative Kiley Issues Statement Following Vote to Support Supplemental Aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan
WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) released the following statement after a series of votes deploying supplemental aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, along with measures to counter adversaries such as Iran, Russia, and China.
“Today, the House voted to advance vital national security interests of the United States. We replenished our own defense stockpiles and bolstered our deterrence capabilities with respect to China, while providing crucial security assistance for our ally Israel as it faces unprecedented threats. Today also marked a significant shift in U.S. policy towards Ukraine. This Administration has lacked a clear strategy, with far too little accountability for the expenditure of our taxpayers’ dollars. By passing H.R 8038, we have tailored our continued support to stopping Russian aggression, promoting stability in the region, and advancing American national security interests,” said Rep. Kiley.
