WASHINGTON – Today Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) released a statement after being appointed to the Highways and Transit Subcommittee, the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee and the Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee for the 119th Congress.

“When Congressman Kiley joined T&I in 2024, he immediately rolled up his sleeves and immersed himself in the Committee’s issues—issues that have a direct impact on the day to day lives of his constituents and people across the country.  Kevin will again be heavily involved in some of the most important work before the Committee this Congress, including a major surface transportation reauthorization bill that will focus on improving the nation’s roads and bridges, legislation to improve our water resources infrastructure, and our efforts to oversee the federal government’s disaster preparedness and response programs,” said Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves.

“I am honored to continue my work in the Highways and Transit and Water Resources and Environment Subcommittees as well as get to work on new projects in the Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee,” said Rep. Kiley. “From water storage and delivery, to flood preparedness and emergency management, these Subcommittees touches the lives of every Californian. I especially look forward to working with local and state officials to clear local bottlenecks like the I-80 and SR-65 interchange that challenge riders daily. Staying on this Committee means that I’ll have a front row seat to affect positive change this year as Congress must reauthorize the five-year surface transportation act.”
