Rep. Kiley Working with CAL OES, Local Officials to Ensure State Assistance Following Landslides

“My office has received alarmed calls and messages from constituents following recent landslides in Mono County that have left residents in Mono City without access to I-395 and outside emergency services. I have spoken with California Office of Emergency Services Director Nancy Ward to urge her office to immediately make available all the resources necessary to clear the debris and reopen roads as quickly as possible. Director Ward assured me that an emergency declaration to facilitate assistance to Mono, Nevada, and Sierra counties is imminent. I have also been working with local officials in Mono County to ensure our office can support them in every possible manner and will continue to work with all relevant officials at the local, state, and federal level in the impacted counties to facilitate assistance without delay.” – Congressman Kevin Kiley
