WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) voted for H.R. 5860, the Continuing Appropriations Act, which passed the House of Representatives on a bipartisan basis:

“For weeks I have been clear that a government shutdown is unacceptable and that we must work on a bipartisan basis to avoid it. I am grateful that today we passed a measure to keep the government open. This ensures that our military servicemembers are paid and that vital government services continue. It also gives us 45 days to finish the process of crafting a budget that reduces spending, secures the border, and fulfills our promises to our seniors and veterans,” said Rep. Kiley.
