Rep. Kiley Recognizes Heroic Folsom Firefighters
On Saturday, January 21st, Congressman Kiley visited Folsom Fire Station #35 to present Fire Captain Lukas Carter, Jared Ralph, and Engineer Alex Karp with congressional certificates of recognition for saving the life of a beloved local dog named Ralph and for going above and beyond the call of duty. As background, on January 10th, Carter, Ralph, and Karp arrived at a residential address in Folsom to find fire and heavy smoke coming from the home. The firefighters extinguished the blaze, entered the home, rescued the dog and provided a “pet oxygen mask” as immediate emergency care.
“In the midst of the storms, on the night of January 10th, a few Folsom firefighters went above and beyond the call of duty. Due to the heroic efforts of these first responders, the fire was extinguished within 5 minutes of their arrival, was limited to one building, and there were no human injuries. The Folsom Fire Department is truly a model of community service and fire protection.” – Congressman Kevin Kiley
