WASHINGTON – Today Representative Kiley (R-CA) joined Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) in calling for the resignation of Harvard President Claudine Gay following her testimony before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. Kiley and Stefanik are both members of the committee and Harvard alumni.

“President Gay’s utterly inadequate response to the crisis of anti-Semitism on campus has had profoundly negative consequences at Harvard and beyond. Her testimony before our committee confirmed, in the most shocking of ways, that she is not the leader these times require.

“This is a time of reckoning in American higher education. A change of leadership at Harvard is a first step towards a fundamental cultural change at our universities,” said Rep. Kiley.
