Rep. Kevin Kiley Recognizes Service Academy Appointments For Local Students
WASHINGTON – Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) recognized six students from the Third District who received an appointment to one of the prestigious U.S. Service Academies.
Rep. Kiley submitted over 30 nominations this year.
“I’m honored to celebrate these talented young men and women who will attend one of several prestigious service academies in the United States,” Rep. Kiley said. “California’s Third Congressional District is filled with high-achieving students. My office received over 30 applications for Service Academy Nominations, and I’m very excited that so many of them were accepted into one of the competitive service academies. I wish these students the best as they continue their journey, and I look forward to seeing their future accomplishments.”
Following an extensive application process, these students have been accepted into a service academy:
Robert Gago, Grass Valley – U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Bode Farren, Penryn – U.S. Air Force Academy
Amiya Farias, Orangevale – U.S. Air Force Academy
Trinity Acuna, Folsom – U.S. Military Academy at West Point
Brayden Weber, Loomis – U.S. Military Academy at West Point
Wilcott Burke, Folsom – U.S. Naval Academy


Students interested in academy appointments should begin the application process in the spring of their junior year of high school. Early application is encouraged.
