Kiley Honors Local Police on House Floor in Inaugural Police Honor Roll
“Every single American benefits daily from the tremendous dedication and commitment to community exhibited by our police. In recent years law enforcement has come under often baseless criticism that has made an already daunting job all the more difficult, which is even more jarring considering the extent to which our police selflessly sacrifice for our community. Although we can never truly repay the debt we owe to these individuals, at the very least, we owe it to them to do everything in our power to correct the record and shift the public paradigm back to giving police the level of respect and honor that they have undeniably earned.” – Congressman Kevin Kiley
Background: In the spirit of National Police Week and to shift the public paradigm back to a culture of respect and honor for law enforcement, Rep. Kiley has been accepting nominations from local Police Chiefs, Sheriffs, and District Attorneys for outstanding officers in CA-03 who deserve public recognition for their dedication and sacrifice to the people of Northern California. Rep. Kiley has announced 6/7 officers selected for the inaugural CA-03 Congressional Police Honor Roll. It should be noted that one individual not recognized in a highly public setting will be recognized privately due to the sensitive nature of their duties. You can read more on each officer recognized below and watch Rep. Kiley’s Floor remarks here.
