FY 2024 Community Project Funding Requests

As part of the annual federal budget process, Members of Congress are authorized to submit up to 15 projects to receive consideration for federal funding. Out of the numerous requests received, Rep. Kiley advanced the 15 below projects. Although the projects must still be considered by the Appropriations Committee and a federal budget passed in order for funds to be disbursed, official submission by a Member of Congress is a necessary and major step forward in the federal funding process.

Name of Project: Folsom Lake Crossing Safety Improvement Phase II Project

Recipient: City of Folsom

Amount Requested: $1,040,000

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to enhance road safety on Folsom Lake Crossing by adding a median barrier rail to minimize head-on collisions, injuries, and fatalities.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to widen the Blue Oaks Roadway and Boulevard Bridge to alleviate a critical transportation bottleneck.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to install a biomass generator system, expand the existing CTE Wood Shop Mill and Class Program, establish an on-site sawmill, and develop a new forest management service.

Recipient: PRIDE Industries

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to modernize PRIDE Industries’ transportation fleet for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This initiative includes replacing aging vehicles with zero-emission vans.
